Sunbird Nationals update

With just over a month to go until we tee it up in the Sunbird Nationals (9 – 14 October 2021) at the magnificent Champagne Sports Resort, we have an update about the highly anticipated tournament. We trust you are all as excited as we are.

Greetings, fellow Nomads.

We are still very hard at work to ensure we deliver a Nationals for the 2021 year.

There have been many challenges, but everything is on track and, between Champagne Sports Resort and the organising committee, we are set to have a great event and to relax and enjoy the camaraderie that is well overdue.

Player safety is our No 1 priority, so rest assured that all government regulations will be strictly adhered to and whatever is chucked our way , we will do our outmost best to ensure a safe and healthy Nationals is held.

Entries

Notwithstanding that we had withdrawals for reasons beyond our control and also the unclear view for most international clubs not to travel, we remain to have an entry list of 300 players and some 90 ladies who are joining us.

The latest indication is that all African clubs will be joining us, but unfortunately the Australian and UK clubs have decided not come, which we fully understand.

Programme for the week:

Day 0: arrival day – Saturday 9th October

Registration at CSR from 09h00 to 17h30. We are planning a simple registration process to eliminate a gathering of people.

Practice rounds must be self-arranged via the CSR PRO Shop, speak to Mpumi or Abigail.

Plenty of Stella Artois draft and Glenbrynth will be available.

Entertainment

All has been arranged for the Snake Pit and one evening at dinner.

Ladies programme

All is set for the ladies to also enjoy themselves trough out the week.

We look forward to seeing everyone  in October to have a great time to cement some old relationships and build new ones for the future.
