Mount Edgecombe to host Zulu Nationals in 2022

Exciting news for Nomads. Just as we prepare to take part in the 2021 Sunbird Nationals, comes the exciting announcement that Mount Edgecombe Country Club will host the 2022 Nationals, named the Zulu Nationals from 5-12 March 2022.

We will have a limited field of 320 golfers, playing over six days on one of the province’s finest layouts, The Woods Course.

Nationals 2022 co-ordinator Janus Hors explained: “We shortlisted several courses and MECC ticked all the boxes. The course is in amazing condition as could be seen at the recent Vodacom Origins of Golf Tournament recently held there. They have completed the renovations to the clubhouse and we have managed to negotiate exclusive use of The Woods Course and Main Clubhouse over the period of our National tournament.

“It has been decided to limit the field to 320 players, over 6 days and to make it a cart compulsory tournament due to the long distances between greens and tees.”

Registration will open shortly (keep an eye out for the entry forms) and interested players are requested to please confirm their spots by 31 October 2021.
