A tribute to OUR LOCAL SPONSORS

From the time the Nomads Golf Club clock started to tick some 50+ years ago the Members have always understood that fortune has smiled upon them to a far higher degree than it has the myriad of those who lead a less comfortable life due to such misfortunes as ill-health, impoverished circumstances, disabilities etc. 
This fact is recognised in one of the major aims and objectives of Nomads, that we "...  assist those less fortunate than ourselves".

That we manage to achieve this aim on an annual basis is due to the tireless efforts of those entrusted with our fundraising activities and those who so generously and so regularly, make the necessary contributions of funds and time. 

Elsewhere we recognise the contributions the Nomads Club country-wide receives as a result of our association with NATIONAL sponsors, whereas at Club level it is appropriate that we acknowledge the considerable, additional support provided by our LOCAL  sponsors.

Local sponsors benefit the Clubs substantially by donations of prizes, materials, labour, discounts and special prices for goods and services. 

All Nomads Members benefit directly each month as a result of the contributions of both cash and kind made by local individuals and companies alike, indeed,  were we not the recipients of such generosity our meetings would be substantially more expensive events for the participants. 

Nomads is a non-profit making, voluntary organisation and, as such, relies upon the considerable amounts of time donated by its office bearers to ensure the maintenance of the standards set by their predecessors.
Were these individuals to charge market related rates for their services and expertise, again, the cost of our monthly meetings could well become prohibitive - outside the realms of the average Nomad.

These facts coupled with the cost savings derived from the support of all our sponsors means that we have more disposable income to achieve our aims.

Back up your LOCAL sponsors, your Club and the Club as a whole by being a generous LOCAL supporter and donor when required!

We greatly appreciate the generosity of our National sponsors, those well-known names who can rely on the support of Nomads in respect of their individual products or services..... the mileage that being involved with a Club such as Nomads brings..... but the mileage that the LOCAL  sponsors derive is often summed-up in the pleasure it gives them to be able to do so. To all our LOCAL sponsors, big and small, recent or of long standing, anonymous or well known - "THANK YOU" from all Nomads for being the backbone of the local Clubs.
