                                                 The 300 Club

It is a requirement of Nomads Membership that a Nomad commits himself to play a minimum of 6 Monthly Meetings per year. To some that may seem onerous but to others anything less than the full quota of 12 Monthly Meetings per year is a minor tragedy in their lives.

We have Nomads who have played over 500 games consecutively since becoming a Member of an already established Club;
we also have Members who have played every Monthly Meeting since becoming Founder Members of their respective Clubs just as we have several Members who have played every Monthly Meeting since becoming Members of their respective Clubs.

Consider then the magnitude of the achievement of becoming a Member of the illustrious 300 Club where, to join, the qualification is having teed up at 300 Monthly Meetings. Taking into consideration that one may only obtain one game credit towards the total per month this means having played the equivalent of one Nomads game per month for 25 years.
No allowance is made for all those other multitude of games played in Gary Player Knockout Competitions, Away Tours, Club Anniversaries, Nationals in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana etc.

Until 2002, game badges were presented in increments of 100 games but it was decided that where a Nomads career has already spanned over a minimum of 300 games the next step of 400 games was too far away and therefore the decision to award badges every 50 additional games after 300 was taken.

The background colour to the numerical part of their Name Bar for the 300 game badge was decided as being  GREEN.

Our sincere congratulations go to the following stalwart Nomads who have contributed to the success of our organisation over the years and for whom the game of golf has brought pleasure, camaraderie and life-long friendships:-

The following have progressively joined the Club. It is however distinctly possible that some Members names have not been included due to inadequate reporting from the Clubs. Should you happen to be one of those not recorded or know of someone in the same predicament then please let the Webmaster know:-
