What is so interesting about establishing Nomads clubs in Australia is that the Nomads name in the golfing world and indeed the Nomad formula that has evolved over time, precedes itself, and so makes it easy to attract members and establish the Nomads name and raison d'etre in Australia.
Nomads can only play on Sundays as this is the only free day available on most golf courses as Saturdays are taken up by the golf club members. Nomads are slowly building a reputation with the golf clubs they play at as a very organized bunch of dedicated golfers playing golf for fun and for the benefit of others in a disciplined format.  

All business is conducted via the website from where entries for monthly games are driven. A host of other information such as the draws, newsletters, constitution, rules of play, membership application and the like are all posted to this site. 

Nomads Australia have joined with the New South Wales Golf Leagues, where through their organization, and upon submitting the monthly Nomads cards, Nomads get official Australian Golf Union Handicaps. The annual subs take into account the cost of maintaining this handicap as well as covering all our members from personal liability, stolen clubs and the like.  

The Clubs venture on 2 away trips a year and the first "Bledisloe Cup" away game to New Zealand was planned for October 2005. This will be an annual tournament hosted by each country every second year.

Nomads Australia is controlled by a National Executive and has as its goal to over time establish a Nomads dub in each of the major cities of Australia. The momentum of the Nomads organization in Australia is growing rapidly and hopefully the next club will be starting in Brisbane with Perth also having displayed interest in starting Nomads there.
All clubs will be established under a constitution and rules of play based on the South African and New Zealand model that has worked so successfully over the past years.

The National Executive at any intemational get together around the world will don the Nomads Australia uniform.

5 times British Open winner Peter Thomson, has agreed to be the patron of Australian Nomads consequently they will now be contesting "The Peter Thomson Knock Out" down under along the same lines as the Gary Player Knock Out.
