BRIEF HISTORY:            In 1974, halfway through his term as second Captain of Eastern Cape, Joss Hamilton was transferred to East London where he immediately set about organising a Border club. Joss was anxious to stage "Show the Flag" meetings during November. These meetings were attended by some 50 visiting Nomads. A further 3 informal games were played during the December 74 - March 75 period and by the end of March 70 potential Border Nomads had been identified.    Following a motivation put to the National Council Meeting in Pretoria the Border Nomads Club came into being in July 1975.
