Our Club Archivists ....
Throughout our
Clubs the following individuals have undertaken the task of maintaining input to
the National Archives. Since the Archives started on a formal basis in 1983
thousands of items have been collected for posterity however it is noted, with
sadness, that many irreplaceable items, of significant historical value to
Nomads, has been lost forever because the material was considered to be too
commonplace to "collect" at that time. Or, conversely, it is only
natural that items which are precious to those Nomads who avidly collect their
own personal historical records as they go along, are not readily parted with
during the collectors active days and then at the time that they pass on, the
value of such record to Nomads is not necessarily recognised by those into whose
hand the items fall. It is therefore of utmost importance to the recorded history of Nomads that
nothing, however apparently insignificant the item may seem to be at the time,
is lost to the Archives.
If you are in a position to assist with memorabilia we are ready to receive
any items relating to our Nomadic past whether recent or distant.
As the saying goes - "All contributions gratefully received".
If you are unable to forward the item(s) yourself please contact the relevant
Club archivist who will see that the item gets into our safekeeping.
It is with grateful thanks that we acknowledge the efforts of the following
